POLICY & PLANNING

The Resource Connection offers programs that support the development of local child care professionals, such as:

  • Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP), supported by federal funds from the Child Development Block Grant (CDBG), through the California Department of Education, Child Development Division

CCIP strives to increase the supply of licensed, quality child care by recruiting and training family child care providers. Through CCIP, the Resource Connection provides training, technical support, and financial incentives. Recruitment focuses primarily on providers interested in infant/toddler care and off-hour care. Some of the incentives that the Resource Connection provides or reimburses through CCIP include:

  • safety equipment
  • children’s books and art supplies
  • memberships to professional organizations
