What happens during a home visit?

A Home Visitor comes to your home once a week for 90 minutes. The basic purpose of the Home Visiting program is to build and strengthen parental skills in identifying and meeting the needs of their children and families. During the visit, age appropriate learning experiences are shared with the parent based on assessments and goals you set for your child. The Home Visitor provides family support by linking the family with community resources and parent education information.

I am pregnant. What can home base offer me?

We offer a prenatal program that includes a curriculum to guide a mom through her pregnancy. This curriculum offers nutrition information and what to expect through each month of pregnancy. The Home Visitor shares information and resources with you to help prepare for a successful pregnancy up to delivery. Once your baby is born, the baby can be enrolled in the Home Visiting program.
