I just moved to Amador County and I have a two-year-old son. I don’t really know anyone here and I would like my child to play with other children, do you have any suggestions on where I can go?

In Amador County we provide a free playgroup in five locations in the County. On Monday in Plymouth, Tuesday in Camanche, Wednesday in Ione, Thursday in Pine Grove, and Friday in Jackson. These Playgroups provide an environment of learning through non-structured play for the child and parent or care giver. We provide an environment that allows children to explore and discover through the use of music and movement, art and crafts, storytelling and reading, dramatic play, and healthy foods. You will experience age appropriate activities that guide your child through levels of learning using themes such as seasons, months, tactile experiences, history, culture, food, literacy, and special days. Playgroups are held from 9:30am to 11:30am daily. Call our office for the location nearest you: 223-1624.
